Generic "Levitra" is a prescription medicine taken by mouth for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. ED is a condition where the penis does not harden and expand when a man is sexually excited, or when he cannot keep an erection. When a man is sexually stimulated, his body's normal physical response is to increase blood flow to his penis. This results in an erection. Generic "Levitra" helps increase blood flow to the penis and may help men with ED get and keep an erection satisfactory for sexual activity. Once a man has completed sexual activity, blood flow to his penis decreases, and his erection goes away.
Active ingredient: Vrdenafil HCl
Other Ingredients: Mcrocrystalline cellulose, crospovidone, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, polyethylene glycol, titanium dioxide, yellow ferric oxide, and red ferric oxide.
What is Generic "Levitra" PRESCRIBED for?
Generic "Levitra" is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in adult males. Generic "Levitra" increases the body's ability to achieve and maintain an erection during sexual stimulation. Generic "Levitra" does not cure erectile dysfunction or increase sexual desire. This medicine does not prevent pregnancy or the spread of sexually transmitted diseases such as human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
How should I take Generic "Levitra"?
The starting dose of Generic Generic "Levitra" is 10 mg taken no more than once per day. Your doctor will decide the dose that is right for you. Generic "Levitra" should only be taken as needed approximately 60 minutes prior to sexual intercourse. However, Generic "Levitra" should not be taken more than one time per day. Doses should be taken at least 24 hours apart.
STORAGE
Keep Generic "Levitra" in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.
What are the CONTRADICTIONS for taking Generic "Levitra"?
Do not take Generic "Levitra" if you:
- take any medicines called "nitrates"
- use recreational drugs called "poppers" like amyl nitrate and butyl nitrate
- have been told by your healthcare professional not to have sexual activity because you have health problems
Generic "Levitra" is only for men with ED. Generic "Levitra" is not for women or children. Generic "Levitra" must be used only under a healthcare professional's care.
What Happens if I MISS A DOSE?
.Since Generic "Levitra" is to be used only when needed, that is before sexual intercourse, missing a dose of this medication is not an issue.
What Happens if I OVERDOSE?
In cases of overdose, standard supportive measures should be taken as required. Renal dialysis is not expected to accelerate clearance as vardenafil is highly bound to plasma proteins and not significantly eliminated in the urine.
What are the possible SIDE EFFECTS of Generic "Levitra"?
Generic "Levitra" may uncommonly cause:
- an erection that won't go away (priapism)
- vision changes, such as seeing a blue tinge to objects or having difficulty telling the difference between the colors blue and green
Some common side effects with Generic "Levitra" include:
- headache
- flushing
- stuffy or runny nose
- indigestion
- upset stomach
- dizziness
What other drugs can INTERACT with Generic "Levitra"?
Generic "Levitra" should not be used by individuals who are taking any nitrate medication because combining these products could result in the development of potentially life-threatening low blood pressure.
Generic "Levitra" and certain other medicines can interact with each other. Tell your healthcare professional about all the medicines you take including prescription and non-prescription:

- vitamins
- herbal supplements

Additional Information
Ask your pharmacist any questions you have about Generic "Levitra", especially if it is new to you. Contact your physician immediately if the erection lasts longer than 4 hours or if it becomes painful. This may be a sign of priapism and must be treated immediately to prevent permanent damage.
