Active Ingredients: pioglitazone

What is Generic Actos PRESCRIBED For?

Generic Actos is used to treat Type II diabetes. Generic Actos along with physical activity and healthy eating helps the body to use its own natural insulin or the insulin you take more effectively. Usually Generic Actos is prescribed once a day and it can be used by itself or in combination with certain other diabetes pills (sulfonylureas, metformin) or insulin to lower blood glucose.

How Should I Take Generic Actos?

It may last up to 2 to 3 months before the full benefit of this drug takes effect. Take all other medications for diabetes as directed by your doctor.
